Process

I began by reading the White Night: Surface and Value then did some research. I researched the authors, who they were and their motivations behind writing this piece.

I then decided that I wanted to take surface and value and incorporate them into my project. I created depth and texture by layering sheets of paper with the article cut into in decreasing increments to the center where a copper plate sits- the addition of value.
