Process
I began by reading the Black Panther Party’s Ten-Point Program and then did some research. I researched the Black Panther Party, when and why they were created, what their goals were, and how they were received by the public during their time active.
Knew I wanted to make a deck of cards, put each of the demands on its own card, and make a matching game out of them with what I call tension cards. Each tension card has a different event that caused tension in society that led to the formation of the Black Panther Party. Their purpose is to give context to the demands being made by the Black Panther Party.
Each card has a symbol on it that represents one of the programs the Black Panther Party created. Each tension card has a matching symbol to one of the demand cards.
