Process

I started by choosing the book I would be designing a cover for. I chose Anthem by Ayn Rand, a book I had read two years prior in a high school English class. This novel is one of my very favorites and is one I consider to be a classic.

I then thumbed through the book, brushing up on the more important scenes and reacquainting myself with the style and tone of the content. I began thumbnailing different ideas for the cover.

I met with my professor and we talked my ideas over and decided which ideas worked best. In the end I decided to combine a few of my ideas together to create the final book cover design.
